Accessibility statement
Maktab aims for WCAG 2.2 AA across its public web experience. Accessibility is part of the default product, not an overlay.
What we support
Semantic landmarks and headings, skip navigation, visible keyboard focus, reduced motion, theme and contrast preferences, touch-friendly controls, labelled forms, accessible dialogs, and language/direction metadata for Arabic and Urdu. Quran text is protected from browser translation where appropriate.
Reading and audio
Quran reading actions, settings, bookmarks, word study, Tafsir links, and audio controls are designed for keyboard use. Status changes use text and live announcements rather than color alone.
Known limits
Live Qibla orientation depends on mobile hardware and browser permission. Some provider-supplied word audio or aligned Urdu meanings may be unavailable. We do not fabricate replacements. Physical VoiceOver, NVDA, iPhone, and Android verification is documented only when actually performed.
Feedback
If an interaction prevents access, email support@getmaktab.com or use the contact form. Include the page, device, browser, and the action you were attempting.
